Q
How long does Permanent Make-up last?
A

Depending on the colour chosen, sun exposure, and the client’s skin retention of pigment, it could last between 2-5 years and will gradually fade during this time. Touch ups are recommended to maintain the intensity of colour. sweetgrassspa provides a complimentary touch up between 1 and 3 months after the first procedure.

Q
Is Permanent Make-up painful?
A

There is a mild irritation at the beginning of the procedure before the topical anesthetic is applied.  Once the area is numb only a vibration can be felt.

Q
What is involved in the healing process?
A

Initially the treated area will be slightly red and minimally swollen.  You will be supplied with a healing ointment to use for 5-7 days.  It is important that the treated area stays cleans and moist to assist in the pigment retention during the healing.

Q
Does Permanent Make-up look natural?
A

It is suggested to bring in your favourite colour of make-up that you use on a daily basis.  Our Permanent Make-up Artist will also provide suggestions to ensure counter balancing the colour to the client’s skin toner, to ensure the most natural look under the skin after healing.

Q
How safe is the procedure?
A

All pigments are made of mineral and iron oxide based colorants, having little to no allergy or sensitivity responses.   All procedures use medical grade sanitization products, and are Health Board Approved.
